One of the top two-way athletes in the country for the 2012 class. Comes from a powerhouse prep program in Arizona that has produced many blue-chip prospects.

Well spoken kid. Sounds like he's already interested Oregon, would like to work out of the spread if he stays on offense.

Scout only gives this kid a three star? What the hell are they watching? It's a rarity to find a CB who can bang in the run game just as well as he can play the pass. Elite speed at the position, great flexibility and bend. Can use his back pedal effectively and is very smooth transitioning towards turning and running with WR's. His hands look good too.

Defense highlight tape:

I was extremely impressed by his defensive highlights. I know some schools have already told him they are recruiting him as a WR, but he looks like an elite CB to me.

I can easily see why some schools are looking at him on the o/side. He has the quickness, acceleration, and vision to be a terror as a wr or slot back, or even in some wildcat sets.

Foster now holds a CU offer. He sounds pretty set on staying out West as of now. Think USC has to be considered the leader.

Top five of USC, Arizona State, Nebraska, Oregon, and Stanford. Would love for us to enter the conversation here. I think Foster is one of the top CBs in the 2012 class.

He had 26 touchdowns on offense and 7 interceptions on defense last season, just a dynamite athlete.

Hmmm, didn't the nubs just can their legacy and very good DB coach? How can they out-recruit us in the defensive secondary - Pelini rep alone?

Scout is running an article right now about Foster and how EB coached his fav player... Maybe he is starting to lean away from USC?

We're recruiting him for offense, which is what he prefers.

Foster said he is intrigued by Colorado and hopes to get to Boulder to visit the campus and check out the program some time this summer or next fall.

"I want to get down there and see how things have changed and how they run their offense," Foster said. "I'm kind of excited to see what their new installment is and everything and see if I can fit into it better."

Hell of a player. Needless to say, it would be a monumental get for the Buffs if we could sign Foster. I think BB would be mainlining Embree Kool-Aid if this happens. :smile2:

Damn straight.

As far as recruiting for offense, fine by me. I am pretty certain USC is looking at him as a CB, but not entirely sure.

Picked up an offer from Michigan and plans to take official visits to Arkansas, Oregon, USC, possibly Nebraska and probably Michigan. Looks like we're on the outside looking in.

Boulder Buff - I'm finally catching up with you on how high you had him rated.

Adam just called attention to the following on the Rivals board:

Arizona high school running back D.J. Foster had statistically one of the top performances in high school football history last Friday when he ran for 508 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in a playoff game.

wait... what?!!! in one game? you serious, clark? 500 yards and 10 td's in one game? come on......

Great prospect. I honestly think he can be an all-conference player on either side of the ball and he can do damage in the return game too. I know he is a 4* on all the sites, but I still think he is underrated a bit.

There was a story earlier today about him pushing his commitment back until the ASU coaching situation is settled. A few hours after the Byron Marshall choose the Ducks there was a new rumor saying that he is now going to commit tomorrow or sometime this weekend. That either means he thinks Byron Marshall took his spot and is committing to ASU no matter what happens there with the coaching staff or he is worried that the Ducks will only be taking 1 more RB and he wants that spot.

P.S. if you guys don't want information on recruits who are not considering Colorado just tell me to shut up and I will stop posting this type of information ;)

I like the insight. Gives us a view of what other teams are doing in depth rather than just seeing the commit list for each team.

Thinking he's a ASU lean though with the RB whOregon got today.
