247 Sports put out their early list for 2013 today. Keep in mind that our coaches will be finding out about some of these guys when they hit the road next month. Some observations and names to remember:

-Chris Fox at #39 and Shahid Hoover at #219 are the two CO kids.
-Alquaddin Muhammad checks in at #27. Uphill battle, but he has visited Boulder.
-Jordan Poland at #29 plays in the same league as Shane Dillon.
-Reeve Koehler at #41 out of St. Louis High, a school Cabral and Tui know well. Same high school as Parker and Asiata.
-Marcus Baugh at #128 is already on our radar.
-Have seen some film on Sebastian LaRue at #121. Really good two-way athlete.
-Justin Davis at #162 is dynamic. Would not be surprised to see him move up from that spot.
-John Ross at #231 is already getting lots of attention from Pac-12 schools, including the Buffs.
-Aaron Piper at #241 plays for Duncanville with Jeffrey Thomas.

Thanks BB.

Looks like a decent year out west for RBs, 4 in CA, Thomas Tyner obviously the gem of the class, and Shahid Hoover. No excuse for EB to not pick up a stud next year. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Craig Lee out of Redlands get some heavy P12 attention.

I agree BB, Justin Davis looks good. Based on limited video on DJ Martin and Aaron Balthazar, I thought Davis looked quite a bit better than those two. I'd rank them 1. Davis 2. Muhammed 3. Balthazar 4. Martin. Martin just didn't look very fast to me, very shifty, but got caught from behind a lot. If only Muhammed wasn't tiny...

Strong year for the San Diego area. 4 guys there by my count. The twin brothers from San Diego Lincoln, the massive OT from La Jolla Day, and the aforementioned Balthazar from Chula Vista. Lets hope we land McNamara and he along with Dillon can help us in the area.

24/7 is Bobby Burton's new outfit, right?

Yep. They are decent for midwest coverage and also for teams with dedicated sites, but I thought they would have gained more traction by now.

Thanks BB.

I agree about the San Diego area. Keep in mind we are going after Siragusa this class too. Would love to gain a foothold in San Diego County. And yes, I do hope we get in on the brothers from Terrell Davis' high school.

Did not know TD went to high school in SD. How'd he wind up in Georgia?

Cali QBs with a down year according to 247 apparently. Only a couple on there, no sign of Hayden Rettig. Might have to venture down to Texas for a QB in 2013. Cooper Bateman from Cottonwood in SLC looks good, but I'm sure the Utah schools are all over that.

Same high school as Marcus Allen as well. Davis got to Georgia via Long Beach State after that program was folded.

I actually think the Cali QB class is supposed to be decent next season.

Didn't Davis spend most of his college career on the bench behind Garrison Hearst or someone?
