My PSU insiders tell me that he is being let go now.... Press conference tonight.

And in response to the other thread.... McQueary is getting killed in the press here for not doing more.

Ex. Gov. Tom Ridge taking over for Graham Spanier.

Press conference by the trustee's at 10 p.m. eastern.

Radio guys are saying both President and Jo Pa are gone.

I suggested to my friends that they bring in Hawkins to clean up their program....

I am also hearing something worse......

That a Centre County asst DA was "silenced" by influential people in 2005 to bury this.

Ray Gricar was the DA. If there is any link to his disappearance and this case....... Then this is just the beginning of a huge nightmare...... Much worse than Baylor.

Silenced how?

edit: holy **** google... No way they find any dirt on that situation. That is buried deep.

Jesus Christ - you can tell the local media a the presser are more or less taking the tone of "How could you treat JoePa like this?". Douchers.

While Joe needed to go I do feel bad for the current Penn State players who had nothing to do with this mess, but will suffer because of it.

he wanted a send off, and he won't get it. Sucks for Joe Pa. I have no sympathy.

So JoePa comes out this morning, announces he's staying for the rest of the season, and that "At this moment the Board of Trustees should not spend a single minute discussing my status. They have far more important matters to address. I want to make this as easy for them as I possibly can."

Nice try Joe, but I guess the Regents didn't feel like letting you tell them what to do any more...
