Choo chooo...... kablooie - The Boise State sham is done for the year

Yep. They're a top 25 team. They are not a top 5 or even a top 10 team, IMO. I'm glad to see them knocked off by an unranked TCU.

I've got mad respect for their program, but I'm sick of them. I don't think they'd beat Houston on a neutral field.

I'm glad someone finally brought up Houston. Anyone with half a brain knows that Boise would lose to Bama, LSU, Arky, OSU, OU, Wiscy, Oregon, Stanford, Clemson, VT, and a few more - but they'd even lose to Houston. Now they lost to a non-stellar TCU team, at home. Good riddance. Boise, you're a cute little team and are actually pretty good, but no way do you deserve to be included in the national title discussion.

would be a decent bowl game-

Insight? Emerald? or Motor city?. People that think BSU deserves a national champ game or even a BCS consideration crack me up. Yes they beat an Oklahoma team who didnt even care to be there one time. ONCE. Texas Tech beat an even better OU team this year and we all saw what TTU did today. People who think BSU is a legit team don't know **** about football. Idots, the lot of em.

Emerald- I'm don't think BSU is legit but bet them against Houston would be high scoring.

They'd be about #5 or 6 in the Pac...

I don't think they would do that well. The PAC has some weak teams but the typical PAC schedule means a series of games against highly talented teams that each run a variety of systems.

We know that Colorado is bad this year, Hawk left the cupboard pretty bare. That said give Boise CUs schedule, let them play Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Arizona State, USC in relatively close order and they would get their hats handed to them.

The play a schedule that lets them focus all their energies on 2-3 key games a year. The rest are glorified scrimmages that they can use to work on the playbook, build depth and develop players, and rest their key guys for half the game. That wouldn't happen in the PAC.

Once they started to lose games and lost that swagger they have built up from pounding on a bunch of teams closer to FCS than AQ BCS level the edge they have will be gone. Then it comes down to talent and coaching and in the PAC that means they don't end up in the upper half.

They may not fall out of the top ten, and with other teams losing tough final weeks, they could still be in a BCS bowl game. Who do they have left?

They have to fall out of the top 10, they have played two legitimate opponents all year and lost to one of them at home. Likely to be one non AQ team in the BCS bowls and that will likely be Houston.

The BSU fraud started with the zen master. Without Kellen Moore, they will be back in the pack of also rans. Their current coach will probably be moving on in the near future.

Loved seeing them lose! I always thought playing the soft schedule was a sham, only need to get up for 1-2 big games a year. And after seeing Utah struggle with the week-in-week-out competition seals the deal for me. Boise could probably give LSU or 'Bama or Oregon a challenge in a single game, but make them play a full schedule against P12 or B12 or SEC competition every week and they would struggle.

Hope the voters recognize this and put Boise out of the top 10.

The refs SO wanted them to win. The interference call was one of the worst ever.

Actually, they don't - err, I mean, didn't. They are #10. Still ahead of Houston (must have a tougher schedule because Houston is ranked above them in both polls).

I saw that, tell me how Boise is ahead of Houston and we will both know. They must be giving Boise a lot of play based on beating Georgia, Houston hasn't played anyone close to that profile. Their only win against an AQ team was 38-34 at home against UCLA.

Exposed - once again. They're a nice little program but never had any business being anywhere near the Top 5, 12 -15 is probably more reasonable.

At least we do not have to hear any more about them being snubbed as an undefeated team because they were never going to get invited to play in it. Good bye broncos!

They have been fortunate enough to catch two BCS opponents coming of losing their motivation to win and leaving the door open for Boise.

What I would love to see is a situation where they ended up playing a team like LSU, Bama, Okie State, Oregon etc. who have the same number of losses as a team playing in the NC game. Give Boise a game against a team that wants to show the world that they should be in the NC game and thus comes in motivated to not only win but put up a margin of victory. Don't see it happening but it would be good to see.

Admit it. We all hate the fraud that is Boise State mainly due to the fact that they enabled the sham that was Dan Hawkins. Without Boise State, Dan's still coaching RB's at Cal Davis.

Certainly high on the list of a number of reasons.

Boise still plays two "decent" programs in San Diego State and Wyoming, but Houston will have a much tougher road the rest of the way with SMU and Tulsa and then a Conference USA championship game against Southern Miss. A loss to Tulsa could mean the Cougs don't even win their division in the C-USA West and no CCG, which they would need to jump Boise and have a shot at a BCS game. A CCG against Southern Miss is no easy task either (the Eagles beat them 59-41 last season).
