Credit to Burrito Palazzo for naming the ****ing monsoon that was driving dead leaves into my ear canal during the tailgate.

Not only did we win, but for the first time we saw this team play the style of football that we've been hearing the vision is for the program. We out-hit them (I'm still fired up from that shot Major laid on their RB). We dominated them on the ground. We controlled the line of scrimmage. We made the big plays.

We saw a glimpse into the future.

Winds of Change

I'm seeing some coaching that's showing on the field.
Clemmons is getting better & better each week. I think Kennedy has done a great job with him. I think he's played himself into a possible NFL tryout.
I also have seen Speedy being coached-up by EB. He doesn't dance around the LOS nearly as much as he used to and his run late in the 4th where he
purposely stayed in bounds was great to see.

Clemons looks like a completely different player from what we saw in September. Really happy to see him prove his critics (including me) wrong.

Clemmons is easily an NFL free agent if not a 7th round pick imo. The team is improving, good signs.

This is the Toney Clemmons we all hoped for. It's too bad it's taken this long for him to show up, but I'm glad he did.

He has shown a great amount of improvement in rout running and ability to fight off the defender. My only gripe he still wants to show off after the catch.

I really don't care if he shows off AFTER the catch. So long as he keeps catching them, I'm good.

And if we could somehow get him and PRich to play like they both can at the same time, we might have a shot in these next two games.

Clemons has been amazing the last couple games. WTF happened to butterfinger Richardson? Talk about us overrating him

I agree but what's going on with p-rich? I know he sat out much of the second half... First half he only had one ball thrown his way.

I hope you're right Nik. This win seemed like a HUGE relief to this entire football team. Just watch the post-game press conference. I'm excited for the rest of the season - I think this win might have the team playing fast and loose from here on out.

I know we have to put things in perspective. We have only won 2 games this whole year. But it sure feels like we are turning a corner. Also, I am starting to really dig some of the small things Embree is doing to build a winning culture and a family atmosphere. That was a cool touch having the underclassmen write something to the seniors and then invite the seniors to the press conference and let them answer questions. Even the announcer mentioned that of all the teams they have interacted with, CU seems to have the most family atmosphere. How many times do you hear a recruit say that they chose a school because they feel like family? Lots. I think this win and the ongoing culture building Embree is doing is going to help massively with recruiting the rest of this year and the next. We gave recruits a taste today of what our team is about and where we are heading.

Man, when the o line looks good and we can run the bal we can also come up with some pretty great (and fun) passing games. This was game exemplified the system they are going for. Hopefully we can show it to the recruits and gets the guys that will allow us to play like this against USC, Oregon, and the other elites.

Me thinks Richardson is still not 100% recovered from his knee injury. Hopefully we get to see him play for us for a few more years. That WR from New Mexico looks like a keeper.

Embree mentioned the winds of change as well in his press conference. Guess we had some juju in the game.
