Or does it seem like the Pac-12 refs don't seem to have a clue most of the time.

Watching the Oregon game and then thinking about the non horsecaller tackle on speedy today it just got me to thinking how unimpressed I have been from these clowns this year.

Neither does the clock operator from what I saw on TV. When the clock should have been stopped 5-8 seconds would run off. Then when it should have kept running, there would be a 5 second delay on starting the clock again.

They seem idiotic all around.

Would like to get the opinion from the TV watchers about the personal foul roughing the QB/Late Hit on Foles late in the 4th quarter, then the PI call on the 4th down attempt on the same drive. Crowd was upset. PI I think was ok, but the personal foul seemed like bs

Would love to help you out dio, but the FCS feed was such crap, couldn't see anything more than 5 yards either side of the line of scrimmage.

the p12 has exceptionally poor officiating, based upon what i have seen (which, admittedly, is not a full record as it would be if we had been in conference for a few decades). i have heard that the conference recognizes that it has an issue and is trying to upgrade.

the fact that we suck and therefore do not deserve to get any calls aside, i would say that this entire season has been like us being officiated by ****ing clete blackman every week in the b12. ... still can't believe that POS is an nfl ref now..

but, all in all, bitching about the refs is a loser's lament and unworthy of our tradition and history. we'll get back on top. let's hope the conference does what is rumored and figures out how to upgrade these refs.

I'm not just talking about us. I notice this in every Pac-12 game I watch on TV.

i'm not disagreeing with you--- i am pretty sure i've watched a helluva lot more pac(10) fb over the last 25 years than i would have if i had been living in colorado. i concur-- they suck.

i just don't like to whine about it when we are 2-9-- the refs aren't the reason we are 2-9.

Some bad calls in this ASU/WSU game. Someone brushed up against Osweiler and they call the 15 yard late hit. I hate that call so much.

I don't think anybody has said they're the reason we're 2-9. I disagree that we can't tell the truth about how ****** the Pac-12 officials are, just because we're not having a good season. Of course, I also don't accept that we should expect to get shat upon by the officials just because we aren't good, even if that's the way it's always worked.

This is not the ****ing NBA, damnit!! :smile2:

The Pac-10 had awful refs for years and Larry Scott said he fixed it, but clearly he still has a lot of work to do. Pac-10 officials were always the worst and it appears as though that has not changed. Get used to a lot of nasty calls and weak calls.

I don't think the calls are any worse in the PAC than in the Big XII. Plus, the rules have gotten so subjective that it makes the refs look even worse.

The PAC 12 refs are a lot worse than the Big 12 refs.

I'm not sure whose officials are worse, P-12 or B-12? But one thing I do know is how any of the officials in yesterdays game missed a blatant horse collar tackle on Speedy in the second quarter :wow:

Here is an example of the kind of crap that has plagued the P10 for years - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-O1QGjGFYlg

It is getting better SLOWLY, but there is a long way to go. Just ask Oregon fans about their infamous game against Oklahoma...

That onside kick will never be forgotten although it was not the main reason Oklahoma lost the game. Pac-1 officiating has always been horrendous and sadly I do not see that changing for a while. Luckily Oklahoma did not join the Pac-12 otherwise they may have kept bringing up that damn onside kick.

I think both of our fanbases will have to get used to the little quirks of our new conferences. I found out from Iowa fans earlier in the season that they don't call holding in the B1G, but they'll call personal fouls quick as hell. Found out that's true as hell! I've never seen so much holding in my life, but push one guy a little bit, flag for personal foul. Pass interference calls suck too.......

I have noticed the P12 refs are very quick to call personal fouls, unsportsmanlike conduct, unneccessary roughness, illegal contact, etc. Compare that to the SEC, where you can get away with just about anything. I think that is one of the reasons the SEC does so well when they play out of conference. Teams like Oregon go into LSU and don't get the calls they are used to getting.

Good point, I think you let the kids play pretty physical before you start calling personal fouls for everything, but that's just me.

I remember a terrible call in the Stanford - Beaver game where they called the QB down at the 1 instead of ruling a safety. I couldn't even comprehend how they came to that conclusion. I have seen the Pac refs make terrible calls just like that one all year long. I definitely think the Pac refs are worse than the Big 12.
