SMU paying people again?

They were in first and he committed. SMU's been hitting Cali hard. I guess June Jones has a bunch of connections from when he was at Hawaii (plus his rep from being HC of the Chargers). They landed around a half dozen CA commits in the last recruiting class, iirc.

He sounds pretty open right now and he is continuing to impress at various camp stops. Would not go as far to say we are in his top group, but I hope we stay on him. We need to upgrade our speed.

AZ had an update with him a couple weeks ago and Lewis said Percy Harvin is his favorite player and was excited to hear EB had a connection to him.

Ironically, Lewis' favorite player in the NFL is Minnesota Vikings' star receiver, Percy Harvin. As the Minnesota Vikings Asst. Head Coach on Offense last season, Bieniemy is all too familiar with Harvin. "Coach Bieniemy asked me who my favorite player in the NFL was and I told him it was Percy Harvin. I didn't know at first that he was a coach for the Vikings so when he told me that I got pretty excited. He tells me that he wants me to be the (Percy Harvin) in Colorado's offense. He says they will use me in a lot of different ways just like they use him on the Vikings. Coach Bieniemy says he is very serious about that."

I really hope we get this kid, he's going to be a big time playmaker at the next level. Maybe not Harvin size, but he's fast and elusive as hell.

Changed him from ATH to RB. He might play in the slot, but he's likely an all-purpose RB.

Keep dreaming. He ain't goin anywhere but SMU.

I wouldn't go that far, but he definitely still loves him some SMU. He was definitely looking around last update I saw, though. I can see Oregon trying to get him pretty hard, I bet that would be tough for him to turn down.

I stand corrected, just read the new update on Rivals on SDSU.

He seems like more of a spread type RB. Would he fit in our system?

I probably should list him as an Athlete. He wants to play offense (RB or Slot), but he said he's willing to play CB if it gets him on the field faster.

Oh no not this again with converting RB to CB, the guy should staty on offense and be our Percy Harvin. He is a must get.

How are u converting when he probably plays both? We already have our Percy, his name is Gerald Thomas. That being said, he can play where he wants.

If he was good as a corner, we would have seen highlights of him at corner. I like him on offense, he could be our Percy Harvin, our Dexter Mcluster(sp)

Yeah im sure he sucks at corner, thats probably a preference why he sent that tape out. Im guessing u never got recruited. Either way, Id love to have him.

Team won the city CIF title. Lewis was named the top player in the city for 2011.

He is not happy with the changes to the staff at SMU and is looking around, plans to take all his visits. Colorado was the first program he mentioned.

At 160 lbs, where does he project? That is really light.

He's really small. Extremely fast and quick. Return man and then either get him the ball in space or put him at corner.
