  1. I am more confident in this program than I have been in many years..

I don't like the complaints about moral victories every time someone says something positive after a loss. I hated losing this game as much as all of you guys. It hurts and it stinks and this was a game we could and should have won! I'm not preaching about a moral victory here, understood? Yet...
  2. Oh ****! Don't look now, but Baylor may be our best friend to keep UT out of the Pac

This all sounds great with the lesser schools paying back the Horns and all, but I fear that eventually, Texas will get what it needs to get to keep it's mighty status. I'd rather just see a solution that works for them that doesn't include them in the Pac-12/16.. If we're going to expand into...
  3. One shocking statistic..

Besides Rodney Stewart, no other CU running back touched the ball? Would love to ask the coaches why they couldn't have fit in a few carries for the other two guys and the fullback.. Not saying it would make much difference. The holes weren't being made up front. That much is obvious to everyone.
  4. Cal= Another chance to get the Bricks back

Winning the very first game on the road with a new coaching regime has to be considered a big win..and at this point forward, just about anyone we beat will be considered a big win. This team is projected last in the Pac-12.. That's why there are 8 games that are crucial. We might not win any of...
  5. Embree's debut was better than Hawk or Barnett

Nobody is saying you or anyone else should be impressed. Just putting things into perspective.. Can't judge a first-time coach in first game. 10 out of the last 11 CU coaches lost their first game and many of them to worse opponents at home. That record goes back to 1948.. 10 out of 11. It's not...
  6. How would Hawkin's team have fared on Saturday?

I've removed all signatures on my posts.
  7. Embree's debut was better than Hawk or Barnett

Yes. Much Better. McCartney's first game was a 31-17 loss to a bad California team in Boulder. Cal was not as good as Hawaii and the game was at home. I went back to 1948 and confirmed that 10 of the last 11 CU coaches lost their first game and some of them were every bit as bad as Barnett's...
  8. How would Hawkin's team have fared on Saturday?

Judging by his last few performances in road games, my guess is that they'd have gotten blow out. See Toledo - very similar.. CU played competitively for the most part. They actually did a good job defensively, until Moniz started running the ball. They were in the game until the beginning of...
  9. Embree's debut was better than Hawk or Barnett

I thought the same thing. CU was in the game until mid-way through the fourth quarter. New coaching transitions are always rough. 10 of the last 11 first-time coaches lost their first games at CU, and that goes back to 1948..
