  1. Official Buffs vs. Arizona Game Thread --- 8:30 PM on FS1

This is not the same defensive-minded MacIntyre I remember from San Jose State.
  2. NCAA was afraid to punish UNC, so UNCo got punished

I will dissent here from the "blank UNC" mob for a bit. North Carolina football did get punished by the NCAA for providing improper assistance to student-athletes, namely tutors doing homework. However, Northern Colorado's issues were far more widespread among not merely academic support - but...
  3. Game thread- Women's bball visits Air Force (Friday, 12/15, 7:00 PM)

Air Force is among the worst of the worst in D1. Their last winning season was in 1994-95 - and that was when Air Force WBB was in Division II! (Back in the '90s, some D1 schools had D2 WBB programs.) I was sensing "upset alert" in the first half and first few minutes of the third quarter...
  4. Not Happy With Keeping Sefo In The Game

I watched the game on DVR on Saturday afternoon. When Montez did play, although he sometimes did move the ball well, I saw him having to run around to avoid getting sacked. To me, it appeared the problem was a combination of a not-100% starting QB and an underperforming OL.
  5. We're about to find out how good Mac is

If you were the AD today, would you extend MacIntyre, and if so for how long? Back in Feb. 2014, the CU regents extended Mac one year (through the end of the 2018 season) after Mac went 4-8 in his first season. The linked Camera article states: "MacIntyre's contract includes a paragraph about...
  6. Washington State @ CU 11/19 @ 1:30 PM on Fox Official PREGAME Thread

I wonder where Coach Mac's contract extension is with this breakthrough season. Anyone got the scoop if that's gonna happen? Mac's contract is good through the end of the 2018 season, and chances are that struggling P5 teams or even NFL teams are trying to interview him now.
  7. Stanford's time at the top is up.

And CU is ranked #3 there too! How many were expecting THAT? To answer your question though the last time Stanford was regarded this low was probably early in Jim Harbaugh's time. Also, I did buy a ticket using the NORCALBUFFS promo code. It'll be at section 227 of Stanford Stadium.
  8. Stanford's time at the top is up.

In 2012, a Mac-led San Jose State lost 20-17 at Stanford. Both teams finished in the year-end Top 25. Stanford ended the season 12-2, Rose Bowl champs, and ranked #7. SJSU finished 11-2, Military Bowl champs, and ranked #21. With the direction CU is going, I believe the team can at least be...
  9. CU at Stanford 10/22

Thanks for the advice. I ended up going to the CU - NorCal Buff Alumni group on Facebook and found a link that contained the promo code "NORCALBUFFS". Entering that promo code in the Stanford site, however, brought me to the second level section 227, when sections 121 & 122 have $50 seats with a...
  10. CU at Stanford 10/22

Hello everyone. I am a new user who has followed this message board for the past two years, because I appreciated the job Mike MacIntyre did at San Jose State and have continued to follow Mac at CU. I am very happy to see that Mac has turned things around in Boulder. I live near Stanford and...
