    This is a completely inane complaint, but didn't know where else to put it... Someone can make millions by being a transfer portal statement consultant merely by overhauling the current Title: God's Plan Lede: "First and foremost...." Transition: "With that being said,...." format. Good lord...

    Lived in the same dorm as JJ Billingsley, who played (started?) as a true freshman and he'd always humor me when I'd bump into him on campus and offer up some thought on the upcoming opponent... Dude was a good player, wonder if he could have had a better career if he could have stayed healthy.

    I admire you guys' perseverance being able to muster one iota of hope for the future of this program. Just a lifelong **** sandwich that we keep devouring for some reason. But more on topic, I agree we should have an offensive coordinator.

    I agree with your overall conclusion, but not sure that Hawkins could have succeeded under the best conditions. He was always a fraud - a motivational speaker posing as a football coach... Which, if surrounded with enough support, maybe could succeed. That's basically what RGIII was suggesting...

    I was already out on KD the football coach - but I'm all the way out on KD as a leader and a guy with high character too. Bush league.

    Hawkins is the fraud of all frauds - added nothing on the football side... But there is a case to be made that a HC is more like a figurehead anyway - and when viewed through that lens, perhaps there was some universe where he could have succeeded here.

    He said at the beginning of the search that he was going to keep an open mind on the candidates, which is kind of a throwaway line -- but I think occam's razor says that the finalists are more a reflection of the limited pool of candidates than an indication of dissension in the ranks... I don't...

    I think the finalists are a reflection of doing a coaching search unexpectedly in February, not necessarily an indication of division... You're already picking from a more limited pool... If we also did our due diligence on Bielema and Bieniemy, as reported, then they all have contrasting styles...

    Vic wouldn't be reporting it if he didn't have solid sources. Couple that with the fact that Calhoun is actually interviewing, when he normally doesn't get this deep in the process -- I think if the offer is real, and there's no reason to doubt Lombardi's report, then Calhoun going to accept it...

    I just like to spar with Big Jim... I'm really not anti-Sark. I should chill out a bit - if he's the guy, I think we could do a lot worse. I am just pro-Calhoun.
