  1. Games thread- MEN'S BBALL on the road at Oregon (Thursday, 1/26/23, 7:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Network) & OSU (Saturday, 8:30 PM MT, Pac 12 Network)

I acknowledge that he's a sophomore. But the numbers don't lie. Last 7 games CU is 2-5. Here are KJ's numbers. 11.3/3.9/3.4 34/15/82 3.1 TO Per game
  2. Games thread- MEN'S BBALL on the road at Oregon (Thursday, 1/26/23, 7:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Network) & OSU (Saturday, 8:30 PM MT, Pac 12 Network)

I'm also a season ticket holder for 11 years and I bring my 7 and 5 year olds to nearly every game. I'll be at the Cal and Stanford games but is it really worth it? It's okay to acknowlege that Tad is one of the best men's bb coaches in CU history while still pointing out major shortcomings.
  3. Games thread- MEN'S BBALL on the road at Oregon (Thursday, 1/26/23, 7:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Network) & OSU (Saturday, 8:30 PM MT, Pac 12 Network)

This season is on the following. 1. Tad 2. Clifford 3. Wright 4. Gabbidon 5. Hammond 6. KJ
  4. Games thread- MEN'S BBALL on the road at Oregon (Thursday, 1/26/23, 7:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Network) & OSU (Saturday, 8:30 PM MT, Pac 12 Network)

Exactly. Losses at Cal and OSU are completley horrendous. I'm firs in line to honor Tad as turning CU men's hoops into a solid program, but you can't lose these games. KJ 3-26 on this road trip is completely unacceptable. Bench him. When your lead guard has as many TOs as FGs on a road...
  5. Games thread- MEN'S BBALL on the road at Oregon (Thursday, 1/26/23, 7:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Network) & OSU (Saturday, 8:30 PM MT, Pac 12 Network)

No, I don't think it is. Tad should play out next season with Williams and Diop and then hang it up. At that point, 61 years old, one of the top 2 most successful mens hoops coaches in CU history and knows how to manage money and funding. He's smarter than RG and the grind of the transfer...
  6. Games thread- #25 WOMEN'S BBall hosts #8 UCLA (Friday, 1/27/23, 7:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Mountain) & USC (Sunday, Noon MT; Pac 12 L.A.)

Keep winning every home game and splitting the road trips and CU will be a #5 or higher.
  7. Dirtiest Coaches in the Pac12

5 year show cause on Kelvin Sampson and nothing on Sean Miller. Total bull****. NCAA likes their coaches white and unabashed.
  8. Games thread- MEN'S BBALL on the road at Oregon (Thursday, 1/26/23, 7:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Network) & OSU (Saturday, 8:30 PM MT, Pac 12 Network)

Well, it may be about time to discuss Tad's retirement. Didn't think I'd be saying that for a few more seasons, but this season is on him. No leadership on this team, and when there's no leadership on the court, it's up to the coach to lead. Fire RG when the Prime expirment leads to a 5-7...
  9. Define "true point guard"

I'm surprised that Perry Ellis isn't still eligible at KU.
  10. '23 AZ SF Cody Williams (SIGNED to COLORADO)

Nah, they'll petition the NCAA to get Ethan Wright another year and he'll be the starter next season.
  11. Satisfied with Basketball Attendance and the Student Section?

Exactly. RG doesn't seem to realize that you create interest in the program by getting people in the arena. Bring back cheaper tickets behind the first 10 rows in sections 2-4, run more $10-$20 promotions to fill unsold seats, advertise family friendly for pre-game or on the concourse for the...
  12. Define "true point guard"

McKinley Wright IV Team leader, without question Lead ball handler when on the court Has the ball in his hands on the final possession or with shot clock winding down Tough, physical defender
  13. Official 2023-24 MBB Season Thread

KJ has played a decent amount of off guard this season. Yesterday, Hammond was running the point on most possessions when he and KJ were in together. I'd go with a PG transfer if possible. That would keep Hammond limited to 10-15 minutes off the bench and allow KJ to roam a bit, while still...
  14. Games thread- MEN'S bball hosts Washington (Thurs., 1/19/23, 7:00 MT; ESPNU) and WSU (Sunday, 4:00 PM MT, ESPNU)

One last note, how about Lovering's defense on Gueye last night? Completely shut him down. As a reminder, Gueye put up 18/18 against UCLA and 24/14 against Arizona. Last night he didn't score and had 4 turnovers.
  15. Games thread- MEN'S bball hosts Washington (Thurs., 1/19/23, 7:00 MT; ESPNU) and WSU (Sunday, 4:00 PM MT, ESPNU)

Agreed. I can't believe I forgot him. In his defense, Kenan actually knocked down 50% of his 3-pointers at CU (2-4). Better than Ethan Wright!
  16. Games thread- MEN'S bball hosts Washington (Thurs., 1/19/23, 7:00 MT; ESPNU) and WSU (Sunday, 4:00 PM MT, ESPNU)

Want to know how bad Ethan Wright is? He played 3 minutes today and during that time, WSU outscored CU 11-0. I was convinced Xavier Talton and Thomas Akyazili were the worst scholarship players in the Tad era, but Ethan has them beat.
  17. Games thread- #24 WOMEN'S BBall visiting Cal (Friday, 1/20/23, 12:30 PM MT; Pac 12 Networks) & #4 Stanford (Sunday, 3:00 PM MT; Pac 12 Networks)

Split each road trip, win each home game and earn a #5/6 seed for the NCAA Tourney. That is my hope for the rest of the season.
