  1. Volleyball Commit?

On Mahoney's twitter there is a CU20 posted on 4/11.
  2. 2019 WBB Recruit Profile Index

Yes, Colorado Premier Basketball Elite team is comprised of girls from Colorado and Utah. CU has also offered Kemery Martin and Lavender Briggs from Utah. Both are highly rated and have many offers. Also from that club CU has interest in Ashten Prechtel a 6'5" post from Discovery Canyon on...
  3. 2019 WBB Recruit Profile Index

My understanding is JR has so far offered two 2019 players from Colorado. Maura Singer from Columbine and Arielle Wisne from Horizon have received offers.
  4. Daylon Kountz CU Commit

Just announced he has committed, good to keep the home state players.
  5. Open Scrimmage Saturday (Roll Call)

Is the scrimmage on Saturday still open to the public? I heard the time was 10am to 12:30pm. Can anyone confirm if this is still accurate?
  6. 2018 MBB Recruit Profile Index

Since Hamilton plays the same position as Daylon Kountz does this mean we are no longer recruiting him. Or could Kountz be a possibility at point guard. Don't think we would take two shooting guards in the same class.
  7. Women's Assistant Basketball Coach

Does anyone have any info on who JR might hire as the new coach? I think they need someone who can recruit successfully against the top schools in the PAC12.
  8. New Volleyball Player? (12/24 Edit- and a 2nd?)

Mahoney just tweeted another great player is joining the Buffs and Christmas came early. Anybody know who?
  9. Grade the 1st 1,000 Days of Rick George's Tenure

A+++++++ Rick George is the man!!!! No other AD in the history of CU Athletics has even come close to what he has done in 3 years. Raised over 100 million in contributions, new indoor football practice field, Champion's Center. Holy smoke, now he is going to rebuild the west side of Folsom...
  10. New Women's Basketball Coach JR Payne

Like what I am seeing so far with JR Payne. She is putting together an experienced staff who have been thru the wars before and have had success. She is not hiring coaches just because they are your friends or you owe them a favor. Doing that is a recipe for failure. Having capable...
  11. Linda Lappe has resigned as WBB Head Coach

I am all in for Pebley, experienced, proven winner, program builder, recruiter and an alumni to boot. It would take some serious money and commitment to get her, but I think she can do the job.
  12. Linda Lappe has resigned as WBB Head Coach

Two candidates that I would like to see considered for the head coach position are Jennie Baraczyk from Drake and Raegan Scott Pebley from TCU. Both are winning head coaches at the D1level and are proven successful recruiters. Baraczyk was the lead assistant for Lappe's first two years and was...
  13. Lappe has 3 years left on her contract what is Rick George going to do?

Lappe's contract extends until April 2019. We can't take 3 more years of mediocrity, she has been on the job for 6 years. We need a coach that is a proven winner and recruiter on the Division 1 level. CU does not provide on the job training for their coaches. They need to come ready to succeed.
  14. Lappe has 3 years left on her contract what is Rick George going to do?

Lost again today to finish 2-16 in conference play and finished in last place in the league. Incoming recruits for next year are not game changers. They lose their best player this year in Swan. Outlook for next season is bleak. Rick George has to make a change because clearly Linda Lappe is...
  15. Lappe has 3 years left on her contract what is Rick George going to do?

Linda Lappe's contract goes thru the 2019 season and assume she will get paid even if she is fired. The team is not going to get any better unless there is a different coach. I think Rick George has to make a change even if costs some money.
  16. Is Lappe coaching for her job at this point?

Yes, I agree friends of Ceal should not be considered for the position. Kathy McConnell Miller and most certainly Linda Lappe were a result of Ceal's input and look at where we are. What we need at CU is a proven winner at the Division 1 level who can recruit, evaluate talent and be willing to...
  17. Recruiting News - Olympic Sports

Rumor is it's Alexa Smith from Lewis Palmer High School. Just finished her freshman year at Purdue. If true this is a big, big, deal. Very highly rated coming out of high school.
  18. Is Lappe coaching for her job at this point?

The season was doomed when Arielle Roberson transferred and Monica Burich tore her ACL. There is just not enough talent and size to overcome these losses. There are only 4 players currently on the roster who can effectively compete in the PAC12, Swan, Smith, Kennedy and Robinson. Linda Lappe...
  19. Women's Assistant Coach?

Noticed on CU's athletic website that Jenni Benningfield is no longer listed as an assistant coach. Does anyone know the story here?
