  1. Favorite Final 4 Team that didn't win it all.

I remember that team, too. Don't forget Marlon Redmond.
  2. Favorite Final 4 Team that didn't win it all.

Damn, you're old like me (59). I remember that team. I was a sophomore in high school, and it was the first year I closely followed the NCAA tourney. Cal State Fullerton was the Cinderella team that year (I'm a Californian so that had a big impact on me) and lost to that Arkansas team in the...
  3. 5 Reasons why UW beat Colorado

I grew up and still live just outside of Sacramento. I call bull****. I've never heard called it "the 5" or "the 80" or "the 99," or "the" whatever. That's not a Northern California speech pattern, although there may be some outliers such as former Southern California residents or L..A. wannabees.
  4. 5 Reasons why UW beat Colorado

I'd have to amend that slightly. The only people who call it "the 5" are from SOUTHERN California. It's a Socal thing. Anyone from Bakersfield north calls it "I-5" or "Interstate 5" -- guaranteed. I say this as a lifelong Northern Californian.
  5. ESPN gives Colorado an "F" on move to Pac-12

I think this is a great topic for discussion on this board. I'm not sure what this article is trying to prove -- it's way too early to make a judgment as...
  6. Weather for Cal game

If you can do it in Birkenstocks, it doesn't sound too demanding. How long is the hike? Can you get in and out in an hour, two hours?
  7. Weather for Cal game

Thanks for the Best Western advice; it looks close to campus. A few years ago, I might've asked about microbreweries. I might have a beer or two in Boulder, but my sh!tfaced days are pretty much over. It sucks getting old.
  8. Weather for Cal game

I had read the previous posts and was composing my answer while you were posting that, so it looked like I was referring to your post. One of those timing things. I'll keep your forecast under advisement.
  9. Weather for Cal game

That's great imagery there. Even though it's more expensive, I'll probably stay closer to campus for easier access to the stadium and so I can enjoy the college atmosphere.
  10. Weather for Cal game

<Falling bear photos> He, he. Nice comment and photos.
  11. Weather for Cal game

Got it. Weather is unpredictable. Could be snowing and cold, could be sunny and warm. Thanks for the info. I should be prepared for anything, including urine and profanities.
  12. Weather for Cal game

Hey Buffs, Cal fan here. Hope you're recovering from the flooding. Since you have a bye this week, I wanted to get this question in while you have some downtime. I am seriously considering going to Boulder and catching the Cal-Colorado game on November 16. However, I have no idea what the...
