If Cody comes back, how much does it change your expectations & excitement for next season?

#34 on Utah was not annoying to play against. In fact, we looked pretty comfortable going against him.

If Cody comes back, how much does it change your expectations & excitement for next season?

I like it when we sign guys who, when we played against them, I went "god, he's annoying as hell".

This is a whole lot of words spent on something that is not happening.

I'll say what I said in November: good for Nique.

    All Pac-12 Era Buffs

I touched on this topic ahead of the season in my post on the All-Time Pac-12 Team -- https://rumblinbuff.blogspot.com/2023/12/the-all-time-pac-12-team.html I focus on performance in the Pac-12, with earned accolades weighing heavily. To that end, my CU-centric 1st team would be: Kin KJ 'Dre...

    2024 Pac 12 Tourney thread- #3 seed MEN'S bball (Las Vegas; their 1st game vs. #6 Utah/ #11 ASU winner, Thurs., 3/14, 9:30 PM MT, FS1)

I think I developed an ulcer this week. I had to clean through an entire travel bottle of tums yesterday.

I refer to my previous statement on the matter:

BPI and SOR are both used by the selection committee. NET, KenPom, KPI, BPI, and SOR are all the highlighted metrics in use this season

Games thread- MEN'S bball ends regular season on the road @ Oregon (Thursday, 3/7/24, 7:00 PM MT; ESPN2) & OSU (Saturday, 3:00 PM MT; Pac-12 Networks)

Factually incorrect. Palm is one of the worst in the business. They keep records of this stuff. You can look it up.

    CU MBB Rankings/NET/KenPom/Bracketology Catch-All

There's also an efficiency component there -- the NET incentivizes beating the piss out of your opponent, regardless of quality. The Johnnie's won by 27, and broke 100 in doing so, on the road. It's a flawed metric, just as the RPI was, but it's what we got.

Tad Boyle is the Greatest Coach in CU Men’s Basketball History

Of all those critiques, most of which I vehemently disagree with, the offensive complaints have always been the most baffling to me. Year over year, cycle over cycle, our system has developed, responding both to personnel and changes to the game. Tad hired Grier in '16-17, who, at least to my...

    CU MBB Rankings/NET/KenPom/Bracketology Catch-All

KP leans heavily on preseason prediction and past performance at season start. As the in-season data comes in, that 'old' data is weighted less and less, until, by now, it's not included at all.

Don't dismiss Anderson without seeing him on the court.

    Other games & teams thread

Then we almost have to win in Eugene. With a loss, we'd need Utah to win in the finale to force a tiebreak (which we'd win), but Utah away from home is no bueno. (this assumes a win today, of course)
