As much as that talk is nice, I'm ready for some results on the field. Talk of national championships right now is a little ridiculous.
with Scott and Al? He is awesome to listen to. At the end he said "we will be in the national championship game soon." He definitely believes it.

Bob Stoops talked about national championships the day he arrived in Norman.
Granted, its all fluff at this point - but I'd rather hear a coach aiming high than low.
I totally agree, Barnett was talking about winning Big 12 norths, Hawk is talking NC, I love it!
That interview got me fired up for the season. I think we will be better than most people think. It sounds like the players are buying into Hawk more this summer. Of course the proof will be in the pudding in a little over a month.
Also, when my my dad played, he said Crowder was always talking national titles.

Enthusiasm is contagious, and just what the Buffs need for the program right now. Hawkins does a great job of keeping the moral up and it could very well be the difference needed for the Buffs to rise from last year's disappointments.
For a program as proud as and tradition rich as the Colorado Buffaloes I don't think it is ever wrong to entertain the goal of winning the national championship. The title will be coming back to Boulder
well, we must be getting closer to the season because my black and gold sunglasses are starting to fog up. i am starting to feel the Buff kool-aid take effect.
yep, at this rate, a few more weeks, and i will probably have gone from the "oh, i hope we do ok, but i don't expect much" perspective to the full blown "NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BABY!!!" feelings of hope as the season comes along.
hopefully, they won't be crushed as violently as they were during and after the msu debacle.
woot.
Dal, Eddie and Mac had "it," whatever "it" is. I'm sorry, as much as I tried to back Gary, he didn't seem to have "it." He had "it" in 2001 with Bieniemy and Marshall, but the bowl game started me to question what was going on.
I backed him throughout the witch hunt, because that is what it was, a witch hunt. But, 2003, 2004 and 2005, especially the last 3 games of 2005 sent the message that it was over.
Does Hawkins have "it?" I don't know for sure, but I think this coming season will provide some important evidence for the pro or con.
I agree, take it one game at a time.
