That's what I'd always heard too, which makes me wonder why it's on ESPN classic right now. How many 45-21 routs get that kind of treatment?

The other thing I remember was Mushberger's shameful call of the game. I've never heard a more biased reporting of any event at any time. It was as if he anointed Tech the national championship at kickoff.
