'09 TX WR Terdema Ussery (Signed to Colorado)

    Rivals
    Scout
    ESPN

    St. Mark's H.S. (Dallas, TX)

    Ht: 6-foot-3
    Wt: 182 lbs
    40: 4.47 secs

    Rivals rating: 3*; #82 WR
    Scout rating: 3*; #41 WR
    ESPN rating: 3* - 75 grade; #126 WR

Am I the only one really excited about this guy? He is listed on the roster as 6'4 205 so he definitely has the size to to play right away. He is very intelligent (he went to one of the most difficult HS's in Texas and had an offer from Stanford) and has some pretty impressive bloodlines as well. He's a good football player too. In only 5 games as a SR his stats were:

    45 receptions, 540 yards and 4 TD's

That's very good for HS. I think we got a steal

Let's hope it turns out to be a good fit.
His 40 clocks in at 4.47, so he's pretty quick, too.

I'm hoping for combination of Josh's speed and McKnight's ability to run crisp routes.

Just trying to play it cool.

I am pretty psyched about most of the incoming class, including a couple of the walkons who I think are steals as well.

I think he has a chance to make an immediate impact. Hope we're able to redshirt Darden though. Should be interesting to see which true freshmen see playing time this year.

He has the size, speed and smarts to pick up the playbook quickly. He has a chance to become a starter by mid-season, imo.

If he is a starter by mid-season, something has gone wrong IMO. Between Simas, McKnight, and Simmons (if he gets here), those are guys he has to beat out. Just do not see that happening.

Think he can make an impact though.

Except sometimes you have to shake things up for effect, a la Hansen's start.

Maybe, but we're in trouble if a true freshman is starting at WR by mid-season. At some point, the upperclassmen have to carry this team.

If a true freshman were to come in and be explosive, that would be a GREAT thing as opposed to being "in trouble." If the upperclassmen got it covered, that's wonderful, but if any of the freshmen turn out to be not just ready to play, but ready to dominate, I'm all for it.
