Ohio TE favors Syracuse and Colorado

Tight end Justin Favors (Trotwood, Ohio/Madison) has scholarship offers from Syracuse, Colorado, Kent State, Toledo and Bowling Green.
"All five (offers) are in writing," Favors said. "I like all five, but so far I'm really looking at Colorado and Syracuse.
"At Syracuse the tight ends are not that tall, about 6-foot-3. And they have a new coach coming in. The Colorado campus looks great and I'd like to get away from home a little."
The 6-4, 225-pound Favors said those two schools are tied at the top of his list. However, there is at least one other school Favors hopes to receive a scholarship offer from.
"The school I'd really like to go to is Wisconsin," Favors said. "I like the way they use the tight end."
Favors said he would like to select a college around the middle of the football season.

Wouldn't mind him being the second TE in the class at all.
Favors is visiting this weekend.
Other than Harold Mobley (who might end up at DE) and Christian Thomas (who is an all-world pipe dream), Favors is the only TE that CU is known to be recruiting. This would be an important commitment for us. We need at least 2 TEs in this class.
Also, kudos to Hagan for continuing to build a pipeline into Ohio for CU. I'm not sold on Hagan as a position coach, but I'd love him as a recruiting coordinator.
Favors is a Buff!
From ESPN "On the Trail":
Ohio tight end Justin Favors heading to Boulder, Colo.
Justin Favors (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison), a three-star prospect, committed to sign with Colorado following an official visit to campus, NittanyNetwork.com's Bill Kurelic reports.
"What I liked best was the game. liked the atmosphere and the campus. And the players welcomed me in," Favors said. "They are graduating six tight ends. They need tight ends to come in. They told me I've got a chance to play next season if I work hard."
Syracuse, Toledo, Ohio, Kent State and Bowling Green also offered. He has an official visit scheduled for The Orange, but is unsure of whether he'll make it.

WooHoo!! We beat Toledo!!
(fine, I'll roll eyes at myself...)
Syracuse has one of the best tight end coaches in the nation (came from the NFL with the new head coach this year). I take it as a very good sign that we're targeting the same tight ends they are with Favors and Slavin... and that we've beat them for both guys.
Welcome to the Black and Gold (with a little blue sprinkled in for historical value) Mr. Favors!
Woot!
Same HS as Rippy no?
Speedy was a recruit who only had MAC offers. If he can be Speedy like at the TE position I would be extremely happy!
new buff!
