It seems that not only was USC right about their decision to pass on Van Ginkel, but they saw something in Heidari. Heidari's performance as a true freshman, even only playing 12 games due to sanctions, places him 3rd in the Nation. If allowed to play 13, he could easily have been the Nations #1 Kicker. http://www.cfbstats.com/2011/leader/national/player/split01/category07/sort01.htmlthe Trojans already have received a verbal commitment from Andre Heidari of Bakersfield Stockdale High, a senior regarded by some as the nation's top kicking prospect.
(I wouldn't go so far as to call Hedari the top anything prospect, but USC likes him.)
As for PATs, he is tied for 1st with 50/50.
