Freshman TE Alex Wood. Is he no longer with the team?
I was just looking at our lack of experienced depth at FB/TE. With our depth at WR, we really look like a team that will run a spread offense next season. Not to take anything away from Deehan and Thornton, I hope they can be great contributors next season, just that we are so thin at TE and don't have a FB that I can tell.
Wood's still on the team as far as I know. And we're gonna be a little thin at TE next year. The Wallace transfer this summer hurt a lot. Deehan's going to have to have a big year.

Alex Wood bio.
Whoops, just notice you had him on the list. sorry
Yeah I was really looking forward to those two TE's being our next stud-duo. Deehan has great talent, and we'll have to lean on him hard like we have Geer for the past 3 seasons.
He wasn't a strong blocker when he came in, so not sure how much he has progressed in that area under Riddle.
I thought Bisnow was coming back, but he is not. Graduating early.
This was in B.G. Brook's column today:
In case anyone didn't know, Bisnow is an accomplished musician. (His professional name is Austin Paul.)...junior snapper Austin Bisnow, who graduates in May and will not return next fall...
Not to hijack the thread, here is one of his music videos on youtube - if you watch one, you will find a selection of his performances by the same.

Heard that Silipo is going to be good at longsnapper.

I don't think anyone other than Drescher snapped in a game the last 4 years (and 99% of the time he was money). But Bisnow's departure means Silipo will be the only one who's even done it in practice, and may now be the only guy with LS experience to snap to new kickers and punters. I hope the other 9 guys on the field can improve their blocking and coverage under a DIFFERENT COACH because there's going to be a lot of inexperience to go around in the kicking game.
Silipo will be a senior in 2010, so we'll need to get someone else in there.
It's sounding like Celestine did everything asked of him to earn back his scholarship. We'll find out once grades are in for this semester, but the signs are positive.
Sweet, you can never have too much speed.
