I've seen several threads here talking as if it is certain that hawkins will be gone by the end of the season, if not sooner.
Forgive my ignorance....but did I miss something here? Is this just speculation on our part....wishful thinking...or is there something more concrete that I haven't seen or heard?
Thank you in advance for your info.
Nothing but rumor and speculation at this point.
You better plan on him being there next season or you may be setting yourself up for disappointment if he doesn't get fired.
If Bohn does something this year, my guess is he waits until after the season is over. Yeah, I know, but I mean after the last game is played...

Didn't PissBomber say something could be coming down the pipe as soon as Friday? A loss on Thursday night and I wouldn't be surprised to see something happen the next day.
Lots of smoke out there and this smoke is eerily similar to the Barnett getting fired smoke. If Bohn brings Hawk back after 4 straight losing seasons (first time ever under one coach), you would have to be a fool to keep him for another year, and Bohn should get fired. It is gonna cost the program A LOT more money if they bring Hawk back rather buy him out and hire someone else.
One more thing, remember how Barnett found out the news of his firing on morning talk radio before he even got to work? I'm sure Bohn is tryign to do a much better job this time of keeping things hush.

Actually, I think Bohn has the authority to keep Hawkins, if he wants to. Certainly I do not think that the Regents / Chancellor / President are going to step in and force Bohn to make a football coaching change.
Honestly, I do not think CU's fanbase is such that an athletic director would ever be fired. It took a huge scandal for Dick Tharp to get ****canned.
