Rivals had a new article on Kelly this morning:
The 6-foot-4, 208-pound defensive end from Westminster (Colo.) Mountain Range recorded 18 quarterback sacks as a freshman and sophomore. He was named first-team all-conference both seasons.
In 2009 as a junior, Kelly faced constant double teams. He still finished with six sacks and was named second-team all-region.
"Teams have started to scheme around James a lot," said Mountain Range head coach Bryan Davey. "He is an extraordinary athlete that is just so far above and beyond the rest of the kids he is playing with and against."
Kelly has a 76-inch wingspan and has a 36-inch vertical. He is also fast, both laterally and straight ahead.

Kelly needs to get himself in the weight room and bulk up for his senior year. If he could get himself up in the 225-230 range, he could significantly raise his stock. Definitely one to watch in Colorado prep football next season.

Most Ivy's don't give full rides.
This is a myth.
All Ivy League schools give scholarships. They just don't do it specifically for athletics. They give out scholarships based on "need". And yes, "need" is in quotation marks for a reason. I'm certain that unless this young man comes from a family of considerable means, he will be receiving a substantial amount of support from Princeton University.
Again, they don't give athletic scholarships. They have all kinds of ways to pay for a kid's education, though. And whoa, if he happens to be a really good football player, all the better.
Funny thing about Princeton, it's not like they depend on their football program to connect to alumni. They are very proud of their athletic program, though. Hockey, basketball, rowing, fencing, tiddlywinks - you name it, they play it at Princeton.
Princeton has a Quidditch team they take seriously.
I cannot make this up. Well, I could, but there's no need.

Yeah, I wasn't making it up, either. I grew up in a Princeton household. I know all about their quirkyness. It's endearing on many levels. You should see their band play.
Back on topic, I'm sure this kid, if offered, will go to Princeton. The choice between Princeton and Nebraska Kearny or CSU-Pueblo is an easy one. If for no other reason than Princeton - the town - is about a gazillion times better than either Kearny or Pueblo. There's a train that goes directly into NYC from Princeton. No car required. That assumes you have the time to do it.
