nto sure on speed, but I like his hitting. and he seems to wrap up pretty decent when hes not kicking the crap out of someone.
hell of a punt returner
i like him, and his speed shouldn't be an issue at all at ss.
he played on a different team than tony, fwiw.
after looking at his clip again, I like his straight line speed, but he definitely doesn't have any lateral quickness. Looks like a solid SS prospect.
and yes, bcs, assuming we do land him, at least give him a shot to return punts.
kid looks like a hell of an athlete. would love to see him in the b & g
He is a hitter, thats for sure. Good speed and has some instincts too. He looked pretty solid at rb too but he definitely looks good at safety.
Had about three Tony Jones tackles in that highlight video.

All-Passaic football defense, first, second, honorable mention
First team
DB — Terrel Smith, senior, Passaic Tech: This hard-hitting safety was in on 117 total tackles, in addition to defending 24 passes, intercepting three more and causing four fumbles. Also rushed for 1,261 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Word is that he's visiting this weekend and is likely to commit to the Buffs.
This is according to donmac over on the Rivals board, who seems to be pretty tied in with North Jersey athletics (coach?) and started to become active once we gained a verbal from Tony Jones. He definitely has a relationship with Jones and has been hyping some North Jersey prospects (both football and basketball) that may have been missed but would potentially good players for CU.
FWIW, donmac also claims that Terrel Smith is closer to 5'10" tall and is the type of guy who could play very quickly.
Are we talking scholly or PWO, I hope it is the PWO route as he seems a bit small and even with good film and a late qualifier NJ is a hard place to hide if you are a quality prospect.
