From March 31st: Great having Colorado HC Jeff Bzdelik and Iowa State Asst. Coach Jeff Rutter at NMH today. Majok Majok '10 picks up 2 more offers. Let's go!
Majok Majok is originally from Perth, Australia.
It's coming down to Colorado and St. Louis.
Since they got Loe, I think it's only fair that we get Majok.![]()
I wish they made real scouting videos that include outside shots, rebounds, steals, etc. It gets tiring watching these videos with 3 or 4 dunks and some guy in the crowd busting a nut over it.
I agree. I'm glad the kid can dunk on High School kids.... but we need someone who can play inside and get rebounds. How does he look doing that?
"Right now Alec Burks is using and abusing this Texas defense"
He's definitely got some ups and he also looks like he's a quick jumper (doesn't have to gather). I wish I could see if he can shoot, play defense and rebound. He did seem to have good body control and good dribbling ability for a big guy on the clip of him taking one coast to coast. He'd definitely bring athleticism to the frontcourt that we do not currently have on our roster. We desperately need that.
His brother, Ater Majok, plays for UConn. http://www.uconnhuskies.com/sports/m...ok_ater00.html
Ater's listed at 6'11". Maybe our Majok has some more growing to do.
take this kid in a heartbeat. As for dunking...dunking is actually hard in my opinion. I don't care if the big(s) we sign can shoot at this point; if they show the aggressiveness to throw it down on offense, I'm happy. It shows that they're not afraid, and are willing to be a little physical at least. Just get in here and rebound, set some good picks, and play some defense. We need somebody.
According to a new Rivals article, it's coming down to Colorado, St. Louis and Oklahoma. He'll visit all 3 and then make a decision.

He shot 61 percent from the field and averaged 15 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per contest this winter earning him first-team all-conference honors.
"I can rebound, run the floor, finish above the rim and I can score as well," said Majok.
He compares his style to play to Phoenix Suns' All-Star Amar'e Stoudemire.
Kyle Ringo has also written an article for Scout.
He's got a lot of great, new info about how Majok's coach has CU connections, how they run some of the CU system, etc.... among other things. Really good piece.
