Roberson is a well-rounded player who is a Scottie Pippin type on the court, doing a little bit of everything for his team.

    Senior year stats:

    PPG: 8.3
    APG: 2.3
    RPG: 7.7
    SPG: 1.8
    BPG: 0.3

These stats were put up while Roberson was named MVP of his San Antonio district this year while leading his team to the 5A State Semifinals.

    Committed! Welcome Andre.

Also, it appears that Tom Abertemarco was retained by Boyle:

Great news! (Great find, too, Slider)

Andre Roberson of Converse Wagner is committed to the University of Colorado! I've said for a year plus now that in my opinion Roberson was the prospect with the biggest upside in the Central Texas area in the Class of 2010.

I watched the lanky wing fight 6'9" 250 Keith Davis of Desoto in the Texas 5A State Semi Finals last year and the youngster had 17 rebounds against the burly Texas A&M commit. Roberson has a superior outside shot, defends bigger guys in the post with his length and is a nightmare matchup on the perimeter when he takes other 3/4 men off the dribble. Despite his still slender frame Roberson is adept at finishing in traffic and tries to dunk everything.

Look for Roberson to make an impact immediately as a freshman. He'll be an outstanding 3/4 matchup as the Buffaloes look to build the program to the upper echelon of the Big XII. In addition to UNLV & Penn State he also had offers from Wichita State and Tulsa amongst others.

Nice story on Roberson and his family here:
Athleticism in abundance in Robersons' gene pool

    • Father John, was a basketball player, a 6-foot-8 All-City forward at Southwest in 1985 before playing at New Mexico State.

    • Mom, Lisa, a 5-10 outside hitter from Indiana who was on the volleyball team.

    • They had 7 kids. Andre is third, behind two older sisters. Andre's younger brother is on the school's JV BBall team

    • Four of the 7 kids have followed John in basketball, where he had a 12-year pro career in Australia, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Germany and the CBA.

    • Andre's older sister, Ashlee is a 5-11 senior starting forward at Texas Tech.

Welcome to the Buff Family Mr. Roberson!!!!

Had decent offers from other schools, looks like a huge upside kid. Looks young, could add a couple more inches and add 10-20 pounds to an already wirey strong frame. I like it...
