Fredneck no more! It's gentrified quite a bit in the last 10 years, especially since Rockville and Gaithersburg got more expensive. My brothers and I inherited a few hundred acres not far from there in Poolesville, so I usually go to Frederick every year or so when I'm up there. It's changed a lot. We have a lot in common with CU undergrad and UMD grad.
As far as UMD basketball goes, I agree that Gary isn't the greatest recruiter (Do you think he sweats that much on his in-home visits?). Actually I would liken him to Gray Barnett in a lot of ways. He certainly gets the most out of his players and I really like the way his teams play. However, if you look at his recruits, he's routinely signing playesr in the 15-30 range with a few top 10's sprinkled in. Unfortunately, his highest rated recruits haven't panned out for him. Still, in comparison I'd love to have one "maryland-type" class at CU. I think we've signed 2 or 3 "top 40 by position" recruits in the last 10 years.
Finally, I'd give Greg Lewis about a 1% chance of coming to CU. I was the first person to cross the mississipi for college in 10 years when I went to CU from my high school.
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
We didn't make Lewis's top 5.
Oh well. It was always a long shot.

Rutgers
Rutgers? Really? wow
We should have listened to Colorado fans.
