I could use some help finding a photo of him.
Also, would love to get some feedback from any western slope Buffs we have on here. Since Grand Junction may be banned from the playoffs this season for working out 8th graders prior to their graduation, there's a good chance that most of us won't get to see him play.
12-PAC here we come!!

Got to have been a beanpole for his sophomore year, though.![]()
This is the best I could do for a pic - he's the one still standing if it makes a difference....![]()
Heh. Maybe a little too good....
BTW, have you heard any more about that playoff ban? At the time that talk was that it would probably be reduced to probation by CHSAA. I think the meeting where that was supposed to happen was going to be this month, but I haven't heard anything...
Alvin was at CU during the dark days of the Fairbanks years. His name was so distinctive, I remember hearing it from the PA system. I couldn't tell you what position he played, although I think he was a linebacker.
All I know is what I read online while searching for stuff on Sean today. It seems that GJ self-reported the violation and they hadn't known it was a violation. Also seems to be a feeling that the ban was the penalty that went with this infraction per the guidebook and so it was the penalty stipulated in the letter sent to GJ, but that the penalty was likely to be reduced at the official hearing. That's all I got.
Was about to ask the same thing - he still lives in GJ and would be about the right age range to be dad of an 18-year old:
