Thread: '12 CO OG Alex Kozan (Signed to Auburn)

Do you guys think we have a good chance here? I wasn't overly enamored with him to begin with, but his offer list is absurd now.

I think we had a great chance, Ringo predicted him as the next to commit at one time. But I don't think our staff is showing him as much love as some of the other schools.

Would really like Kozan to be a Buff, but getting 2/3 of Thurston/Callahan/O'Connor is more vital IMO.

"It was great to see how things are set up now and see the program again," Kozan said of ASU. "I like the practice set up and the weight room and training room are right there at the stadium. I like how they take their academics seriously and have an honors college that is one of the best in the country."
That's what he said about ASU...

That's how I saw it at first too, but Kozan has been racking the offers up. LSU and Oregon offers tell me he's better than I thought he was.

He has been getting more offers than I thought he would, but he is still an interior OL at the end of the day. Very good prospect, but very good offensive tackles are much tougher to find.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say LSU is where he ends up.

With us joining the Pac 12, you'll see more and more Pac 12 schools start to recruit the top hs players from the state of Colorado, especially the teams at the top like Oregon, they offer a chance at winning because they're currently a top 15 program right now in the nation and a chance for kids at colorado to come back home and play atleast a game or two.

The same can be said about Colorado recruiting more of the top prospects in the pac 12 states exept for Utah.

Might even see us get some more kids from Utah. Kids can expect to play two road games in Utah in their careers plus Boulder is much closer than most of the other PAC cities. If a kid wants to get out of Utah but still be close enough to go home on a long weekend by car or have people come out and see him play CU would be a good choice.

Got a good shot. He's from Hawaii, so even though he's LDS he's not as much of a lock to go to the Y or the U as most Utah prospects. No mission for him either.

We should get this back on topic with Kozan, though. I think he likes LSU.

Had to go through all that just to explain Opportunity cost. Atleast he puts in the work can't complain about that.
