    Second Fall Scrimmage Report

The CU football team held a 141-play scrimmage Thursday with 120 of the plays coming from scrimmage. A B.G. Brooks' recap is coming soon, but in the mean time check out what coaches Dan Hawkins, Eric Kiesau and Ron Collins had to say along with QB's Tyler Hansen and Cody Hawkins, TB Rodney Stewart and CB Jalil Brown.

Watch the interview with Speedy! How could you not like him? That kid is just awesome!

Oh, and as for the QB race:

Q: "How do you see the QB situation shaping up?"
A: "Oh, Tyler, he had a great day."

    No mention of Cody...

It's because most of the time what he says stinks like spider pig ****.

Hansen told the Boulder Daily Camera earlier this week that he believed he was getting about 80 percent of the work with the first offense. But Kiesau said in the past week, "I've tried . . . to divide it 50-50 and keep them both sharp. We have to keep them both sharp. Whoever the starter is, we're going to need the other guy as well.
I love the way our coaches go against the grain. Good stuff.

My fearless prediction for week 1 vs. CSU: TH starts, struggles, Cody comes on in second half of a tight one. Aric the Gold comes on to attempt a winning field goal (shades of '07) with seconds left, hits the left upright but the ball falls through for a Buffs win. allBuffs implodes.

A safe prediction. It would be so unfair to TH to see him be put on such a short leash.

No doubt. Man am I hoping beyond hope TH gets the start, CU proceeds to pound the farm boys into oblivion and Cody wins the Gary Kubiak Award as the best backup/mop-up qb in college football.

No, it was just the little things that caused us to lose those games.

What the hell do you guys know? You've never taken any risks in your life. How dare you criticize the greatest 16-33 coach in CU's history!
