Good thing Speedy and Locks are juniors. Still, we need serious help at RB. And converting Polk back doesn't make sense anymore given our weakened secondary.

    Lockridge is out injured.

Jefferson, 5-feet-11 and 190 pounds, was moved to running back this week as a replacement for junior tailback Brian Lockridge, who, it was announced Tuesday, will undergo season-ending ankle surgery.
Lockridge had been the top backup to starter Rodney Stewart before injuring the ankle in the Oct. 2 victory over Georgia. Lockridge did not carry the ball last weekend in the 26-0 loss at Missouri.

This is truly baffling to me. I remember when JT was added to the class, the quotes were that he really wanted a BCS offer to play football. Moschetti lobbied hard to get him that offer by saying he was a team leader. Then, he gets here, gets props, gets playing time over the other freshmen RBs. Weird. I'm a little irritated by the APR hit, especially if we lose scholarships which would mean some other kid doesn't get to go to college. In the end, I guess he's a kid, so what you gonna do...

I feel for the kid, but god damn we can't be taking APR hits.

I certainly don't want to pry in a person's private life, but if there are special circumstances at play, it seems that the school should be able to apply for some APR waiver. Oh well.
