New offer out today to an under-the-radar athlete Greg Brown found in Arizona. CU offered today, which means Embree approved the offer after viewing film. Scout and Rivals both reporting the offer.

    Here's the Scout article: http://hsarizona.scout.com/2/1037992.html

Washington said Colorado would like him to play receiver or corner and he added that Brown, the Buffs defensive coordinator, really likes him as a defensive back.
Sounds to me like we want him as a corner.

Washington is a heck of an athlete. Not just the multiple positions he played for his football team... he's also a basketball prospect. Highlights of both below.

This is an indictment that a we're not truly in the race for a majority of the DB's we're recruiting right now. That being said, this guy looks like a BCS player and a sleeper. He definitely has legit speed and hands. You have to like that he's had an impact as so many positions, and has humbled himself to play several roles for the good of the team despite the fact that he could have shined just staying at any one of them.

He's a big kid so he'll have to be taught the CB position from the ground up but he's got great hands and speed so hopefully with some of his natural talents chipping in, the learning curve will be smaller.

Brown really should get more credit for finding and coaching up Jimmy Smith and Jalil Brown. They were 2* players that are now going to be pretty high NFL draft picks. A pretty decent job of recruiting and coaching imo.

Jalil was a 2*; Jimmy was rated a 3* CB by Rivals, and a 3* S by Scout.
We should have listened to Colorado fans.

    New Rivals article on Washington:

"Of course my first thought about Colorado when they offered is that they are in a BCS Conference and they are going to the Pac-12, so that is something that would make me lean towards them a little bit," he said. "I like to compete against the best."

I like him the most out of the DB prospects we have targeted late.

Bumped to a 2 star per Rivals.

Will make a great CB. Runs about 4.5, with work could get faster and run 4.4, reciever, has excellent ball skills. Suprised that he didn't get more offers. All he needs is good coaching, and we may have the next Jimmy Smith.
