February 9th - Silva named National Junior College (NJCAA) Player of the Week
Rodrigo Silva, Laramie County Community College men's basketball sophomore center, was named the Division I Player of the Week by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) on Feb. 9. He earned this award after dominating the paint last weekend and averaging a triple-double during the course of two games.
The sophomore from Brazil put up impressive numbers on Feb. 4 in an 86-68 victory over Otero Junior College, posting 18 points, 13 rebounds, eight blocks and two assists. The next day, Silva continued his dominance and had a triple-double, filling up the stat sheet with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 13 blocks in a 91-85 win over Lamar Community College.
Silva's hot streak continued in Tuesday night's game against the Plainsmen from Northeastern Junior College and came close to yet another triple-double, with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 7 blocks in the 94-67 win.

I'm pretty certain that the "sophomore" thing in this article is inaccurate. The roster on the LCCC team site lists him as a freshman. Also, a poster on Rivals whose nephew is Fairview's Travis Shepherd (sophomore on the team) said he's a freshman.
Don't care what it takes. We need a big in the worst way.
Going Sinker...
"So tell me Ryan, how did you know he would turn to starboard?" - CDR Bart Mancuso, CO USS Dallas
"I didn't. I had a 50-50 chance and I needed a break." - Jack Ryan
And he plays along side fairview alum and sharpshooter Travis Shepherd who is 6'5 and shooting over 50% from 3 this season, including a game the other night that he went 10-11 from distance and finished with 38 pts, would be a good replacement for levi. Maybe we can get them as a package
A must-get, in my opinion![]()
"I wasn't too impressed with Lincoln," Parsons said. "I mean, I guess when you compare it to Boulder, not many things compare..."
