I dunno, I've kinda soured on the jc route. Seems like 1/2 of the jc's that commit to the Buffs never get admitted. It seems like time not well spent.

Nothing against this young man. By all means, if he has a good academic record and all the requisite courses (no p.e., etc), and he wants to come to Boulder.... Well, we'll see. I'm just not gonna get my hopes up.
We should have listened to Colorado fans.

Even when they do get admitted, it's like they have to jump through 1,000 hoops to do so. Simmons and Mohler both had to take like absurd extra units to get in didn't they? It's probably just not worth it unless we get in on someone really early and babysit their classes and stuff. Have to make sure they aren't counting PE units or Ds or anything like that.

Has anybody called Mt. San Antonio CC to see if he'll be able to get in?

It's not too far from me, I'll drop by tomorrow morning and every subsequent morning after that to see what's up.

^^This^^ It seems like even when we have a kid with everything in order getting him in becomes a major problem. With a guy who is planning to graduate in fall and enter for spring semester I question the ability to get him in that quickly.

I'm on hold with Independence CC. That's where I get all my info.

I was hoping he would be interested in playing OG for us but DT sounds good too.

I favor threatening to force them to read all 27,077 of your posts.

I believe there is a big difference in admitting a JC transfer vs a JC graduate.

I don't think that matters if he graduates.

Not for admissions. Where it matters is whether he has enough coursework that can be used to fulfill the eligibility requirements of being on a path to finish a major within 5 years.
