Texas class 4A All-District last year. Another late addition to the 2011 class?

Stats? Have we offered? Anyone else recruiting him?
Leach: Do you want to fight a buffalo? I don't know, those buffalo are big. You know, buffalo are significantly bigger than elk. I grew up near Yellowstone so I've been near buffalo. Buffalo are huge. And then the other thing I've always gotten a kick out of: When you play Colorado, there's those buffalo dragging those six handler around. Those handlers aren't dragging the buffalo. The buffalo's dragging him.
Older brother Jeramy played for Rice at RB.
Couldn't find much on him. Looks like teams stayed away because of his size, listed at 5'7" 160 as a senior. Played the slot reciever, RB (4.8ypc) and returned kicks where he had at least one return for a TD of 85 yards.
I added in his Rivals profile, an additional photo, and his measurables to the profile.
He's cousins with ex-Buff great Michael Lewis (current player for St. Louis Rams who also went to Lamar Consolidated H.S.) as well as cousins with James and Jacquizz Rodgers, who have done so well at Oregon State and both played for Lamar. Jacquizz was freshman of the year in the Pac-10 in 2008, 2nd in conference rushing in 2009 (Best passed him due to an injury) and was a finalist for the Maxwell and Doak awards as a senior - rushing for over 1,000 yards each of his 3 season and catching 151 passes. Quizz was selected in the 5th round by the Atlanta Falcons. James is a senior WR at OSU and was 1st team All Pac-10 as a kick returner last year.
Similar type of player. Quick, fast and just a solid football player. Will likely get his first shot like B-Lock did working out of the slot and at TB, but he's got potential to move to CB.
This gives us another pipeline into Texas (this time the Houston area) and repairs a relationship with Lewis that was damaged when the Rodgers brothers were rejected by the Hawkins regime. Important upgrade to team speed, too, which is a priority. I like this addition for a number of reasons.
Welcome to the Buffs, Mr. Goodson!

Nik, do you know if we gave him a scholarship or if he's coming as a PWO?
Scholarship.
And I need to give a shout out to SDBuff on Rivals who broke the story. He told me Monday that we had a visitor on Thursday (under-sized RB from the Houston area with dreads that EB likes a lot). We couldn't figure out the guy, though, and didn't have the info. He wanted me to keep it off the boards until he had firm confirmation.
Also, AZ was able to get the confirmation first and come up with the name. He also uncovered the connection to Lewis and the Rodgers brothers.
Pretty much everyone was working overtime and scrambling on this one.
Was size the only issue for other teams shying away? I don't understand why Rice wouldn't offer.- Jeramy Goodson has a younger brother being recruited by colleges for 2011, including Rice. D.D. Goodson is a 5-7 165 pound slot receiver with the same quicks as Jeramy.
