Building those connections into Lakes H.S. is one of the most important pipelines in Washington. Really great program.
Also, this guys looks like a pure nosetackle to me. I remain convinced that we're recruiting toward an eventual switch to a 3-4 defense.
I like us working the northwest. Oregon is hot **** right now so they're not bothering with many local "solid" players, they're aiming higher at national guys. That leaves us recruiting against OSU and WSU (should usually win those) and UW, which we seem to be able to compete against.
Now, if we'd get around to that little state called Nevada, I'd be pumped.
The kid an also play at Center and Guard. Looks like a good prospect.
I also think we are moving to a 3/4. Big NT's, tweener DE/OLB types along with bigger linemen to play DE. Bigger inside LB's to smack people in the mouth. If we get it going it could be good for us.

Lakewood (Wash.) Lakes DT Zaheer Webb also commits to Colorado. Buffs getting two good prospects in Webb and Ma'ne Manaea...

What a great night! Welcome aboard and enjoy your time in Boulder!
If it ain't hurtin, it ain't right.

6’3″, 320 pound monster Nose Tackle Zaheer Webb.
Webb is not just another big High School kid. His size is obvious and he becomes an immovable object on the grid iron.
But it is his ability to explode and react to the ball that has team mates and onlookers excited.
“He is massive for sure. But Zaheer is quick and he gets off that ball like ‘Boom’,” said All American Cedric Dozier.
Review of his film shows a big man with a big motor who demands a double team almost every down opening lanes for backers to blitz.
He also creates havoc by collapsing the pocket and making it difficult for QB’s to have any time to react. Webb is all but impossible to run on and creates a lot of good things for his team mates who benefit as he unleashes his onslaught.
“I think my strength is being a under dog in my eyes. I feel I have to work twice as hard just to prove people wrong,” referring to people who have suggested he is not ready for prime time collegiate ball.
That belief fuels his fire and while he is being recruited he is planning on playing to the whistle every down this year.

Welcome to the Black-n-Gold young man!
We should have listened to Colorado fans.
True NT body type. Gamble. Worry about his arm strength.

This is one big boy. Looks like he plays center as well so he's got to have at least decent quickness.
