    Pat Summit Diagnosed With Dementia

Truly sad news for an absolute legend in the game. Sounds like she's going to try to coach this season.

    That's rough.

    She's the best.

    Karma to Coach Summit.

This is really terrible news. That disease sucks. I'll be rooting for the Lady Vols this year. Would love to see her go out on top...

Joe Pa has been coaching with it for years so Summit should be able to as well.

That got to be a tough day for the Lady Vols fanbase. At least JoePa can help her out if she asks.

Classy lady, way to young for this to happen.

Karma out to her and her family.

And Pat Summerall has been announcing with it for years as well, so she should be ok.

Dementia and Alzheimer's run in my family; I empathize with the Summit family and wish the best for Pat and her family. I'm glad to see she's trying to stick with what she loves.

Losing control of your own mind is the scariest thing in the world to me. Honestly scary stuff.
