In celebration of our first season in the Pac-12 TheJunta would like to announce our first "Pick the Score" contest for all of CU's Pac-12 games as well as the Cal OOC game. The rules are pretty simple each member can enter once per week and everyone who posts is eligible to win every week (including past winners). The first person to post the exact score of the game that week will be deemed the winner. In the event that no-one predicts the exact score the person who is closest without out exceeding the point total for the game will win. First person to post the winning score will own the tie-breaker.
The prize for each of these games will be a $30 Amazon gift card to the winner. We will be opening this up to the opposing teams fans as well as part of our outreach to our new conference mates.
Good luck to everyone and my first guess is:
CU - 28
Cal - 24

Bah... I hate these because I always pick with my heart and not my brain... I'd rather pick a CU win and Lost The Game rather than pick against my beloved Buffs:
31 - 28 Mighty Buffaloes.

Leach: Do you want to fight a buffalo? I don't know, those buffalo are big. You know, buffalo are significantly bigger than elk. I grew up near Yellowstone so I've been near buffalo. Buffalo are huge. And then the other thing I've always gotten a kick out of: When you play Colorado, there's those buffalo dragging those six handler around. Those handlers aren't dragging the buffalo. The buffalo's dragging him.

I don't have a ton of hope we'll pull this out, but it won't stop me from picking CU in a close one.
CU 24
Cal 20
You could say the same thing about OU in '07, NU in '01, etc. Fact is, Cal has a brand new QB who will be making his FIRST start on the road against a BCS team and Cal has a LOT of questions floating around the offense and Tedford.
Oh and Cal has one of the worst road/home splits in the NCAA.

Cal - 14
