2014 is shaping up to be a HUGE year for basketball in Colorado. On the men's side, we could have five national level recruits in the state, with two of them having the potential to be 4/5* guys right now. But the women's side can't be ignored. I can't stress enough how huge it would be to land the trio of Akigbogun, Morgan and Reese. All three are on the HoopGurlz Top 100 watch list for 2014 right now and I know Reese has been getting some serious national attention. Wouldn't surprise me if Morgan and Akigbogun were as well.

Lappe's doing her part, but it's going to be a HUGE battle to close the borders on this one.

Looks like I posted that too soon. We can now add Jordan Molyneaux to the list of 2014 Colorado women who are on the Top 100 watch list. As a post player, she'd be another that would be a nice get for Lappe & Co.

I think we could add Rachel Bell from Tennessee to the list for 2014. There have been a few indications on Twitter that CU has offered her, including connections with our staff and this:

@WeWorkHoops: Florida and Vanderbilt have offered '14 TN guard @Rachel_Bell_3 joining S. Carolina Va Tech, TCU, Illinois, Colorado, Syracuse and MTSU
It sounds like she's having a great season, putting up 33 points on two separate occasions so far. From The Daily Herald in Tennessee last month:

Described as the “real deal,” by college recruiters, Creek Wood junior Rachel Bell scored 33 points including 11 tallies in the final stages to push the Lady Red Hawks by the Lady Lions.
    ...
Bell, who has SEC offers from Florida, Vanderbilt and South Carolina among others, had all of her team’s points in sparking the visitors to a 15-9 first period lead.
She doesn't get much love on what's left of the HoopGurlz site, but the offers she's getting speak for themselves. That @WeWorkHoops account has also mentioned interest from Boston College and Florida State. It would be pretty great to invade SEC territory and have her come out West.
