I think we take 2 fullbacks. We only have one - Cordary Allen - on the roster as of now.

And the way they used Harrington down the stretch shows they want the FB to be more than just a blocker.

Not positive but pretty sure Cordary is a TE now. Maybe an H-Back type but im not certain. I hope we get this guy, he is a true fb by the looks of it.

This. The only FB on our roster is the walk-on -- Nick Plimpton.

How do you have a power running game without having a power FB? Powell is a long-time fullback with wicked physical attributes. I bet he starts game 1 2012.

Cordary Allen is a TE. I heard it directly from him when he spoke at the final football luncheon.

Thanks for the clarification - Allen's listed as FB on the Rivals pipeline. All the more reason we need to get Powell in here with Norgard.

Ridiculous. This dude is a tank. I cannot believe he's only a sr in high school. Looks like he has the body to be a fb in the nfl in that pic. You want a ticket to the league, come here and get 4 years experience in a pro system!

Abron popped. I wonder how this one goes

  14. #44
I didn't bother popping in his name but if you search Abron's film on HUDL.com, they have game by game cut-ups of Upland and almost every play has Powell running through the hole, beating the hell out of people. Being in the Christmas mood, I had some christmas music on in the background watching the highlights. Fitting I started paying attention to #46 when Manheim Steamroller came on. Dude is a bowling ball of butcher knives as they like to say. He's thick and quick, excellent at playing beneath his pad and making LB's nonexistent in plays. He's got quite a few flat-back blocks too. VERY impressive fullback. I'm hoping that he loves playing with Abron and wants to play FB in college because he looks like a guy who could start from day 1.

Fullback is an absolute must in this offense. Come on down young Mr Powell -- you're the one we want.
We should have listened to Colorado fans.
