Mathis committed to Washington back during the fall, but has decided to open things up with the coaching staff changes in Seattle. His dad played at UCLA, but he seems legitimately open now.

Powell committing helps. Upland has a good chance to become a CU ____________. (8 letters).
Also, his profile states that EB is the lead recruiter.

Leach: Do you want to fight a buffalo? I don't know, those buffalo are big. You know, buffalo are significantly bigger than elk. I grew up near Yellowstone so I've been near buffalo. Buffalo are huge. And then the other thing I've always gotten a kick out of: When you play Colorado, there's those buffalo dragging those six handler around. Those handlers aren't dragging the buffalo. The buffalo's dragging him.
forgot about the CU. he did have the first letter right.
Mathis has turned into a national recruit in a matter of months.@GregBiggins Greg Biggins
Upland (Calif.) DL Joe Mathis continues to roll, #Nebraska is latest to offer and there is strong buzz that #USC could be very close as well
"He's 6'4", with the afro he's 6'9"". Go get 'em EB. Maybe Donta or Christian will turn into the next Sherrard.
