Willis is a big, athletic DB who may eventually grow into a LB at the next level. He made a name for himself at the Semper Fi underclassmen combine earlier this month, where he posted that 4.56 forty time.
He was an honorable mention All-State selection as a junior after registering 52 tackles and 2 INTs from his CB spot. He also qualified for the state track meet in both long jump and triple jump as a sophomore.
Leach: Do you want to fight a buffalo? I don't know, those buffalo are big. You know, buffalo are significantly bigger than elk. I grew up near Yellowstone so I've been near buffalo. Buffalo are huge. And then the other thing I've always gotten a kick out of: When you play Colorado, there's those buffalo dragging those six handler around. Those handlers aren't dragging the buffalo. The buffalo's dragging him.
Willis now has offers from half of the PAC-12. I think he is a dynamite prospect and hope we offer soon.
prolly will grow into a LB
We should have listened to Colorado fans.
Heading to the USC junior day this weekend after receiving an offer from them this week. The Trojans are likely in the lead here.
From the sounds of it, the USC Junior Day this weekend will be a veritable "who's who" of recruits for the upcoming cycle. The list is included in the article below and it sounds like Willis will not be lonely:

"I wasn't too impressed with Lincoln," Parsons said. "I mean, I guess when you compare it to Boulder, not many things compare..."
Cal has offered.

Husker head coach Bo Pelini personally reached out to the Tempe (Ariz.) Marcos De Niza speedster.
“He said ‘Man, I’ve seen your film, so it’s a no brainer that I need to offer you,’” Willis said. “He liked how big and how physical I was and how fast I run to the ball. He thinks I could be a big contributor to the football team.”
Tough get, this kid, who already has offers to USC, UCLA and Washington, among others. But Willis likes Nebraska, in part because his uncle played there. Who is it? Toby Wright.
Virgina is in the game with an offer per Barton Huffman.
