I know it's hard to imagine that given how we have only had one season the past six years with 6 wins, but I don't think it's a pipe dream. If (i know the dreaded IF word) we get improved QB play from Wood and the secondary is improved our schedule sets up nice early. Not saying we will, just saying a decent chance (rep to the first dumb and dumber "saying theres a chance" reference haha).

@ Fresno St: road monkey off our backs and they are not the team from the early 00's
@ Wash st: They did beat us last year in our house, but they are still Wazzu, winnable game
UCLA. Ok we all know the crushed us last year and they are loaded with talent, but they are breaking in a new coach. Cal crushed us in '10 and then we almost won the rematch game in Boulder last year missing in OT. I see this UCLA game as being similar to that with a good possiblity at winning at home.
Arizona state. This team is my pick to be the worst in the south in '12. Not impressed with their new hire, very winnable game.
And then theres the trip to SC and Eugene, where I expect us to get throttled much worse than last year.from both teams.

Seriously though, look at the first half of the schedule, it's not that bad. I bet 95% of BCS teams could pull off that stretch unbeaten, we might be in the 5% though.
Were you one of the guys predicting 4-0 last year? That's more likely this year, but 6-0 is a stretch.
Thats probably more realistic, and FYI, I am NOT predicting 6-0 to start '12, just for the record.
We need a good start. While 6-0 is a bit ambitious, I could see 4-2 as a reasonable expectation. That Wazzu game is going to be big test for a young secondary.
