    Commits by coach

    Bobby Kennedy
    Vincent Hobbs
    Gerald Thomas
    Peyton Williams
    Jeffrey Thomas

    Mike Tuiasosopo
    Samson Kafovalu (teamed with Cabral)
Tyler Henington (teamed with Greg Brown)
    Kory Rasmussen (teamed with Cabral)
    Josh Tupou (teamed with Cabral)

    Greg Brown
    Kenneth Crawley
    Kisima Jagne
    John Walker
    Yuri Wright

    Rip Scherer
    Shane Dillon

    J.D. Brookhart
    Austin Ray
    Clay Norgard

    Steve Marshall
    Terrence Crowder (teamed with Bieniemy)
    Justin Solis
    Johnny Stuart

    Brian Cabral
Josh Tupou (all 3 with Tui)
    Kory Rasmessen
    Samson Kafovalu

    Eric Bieniemy
    Donta Abron (teamed with Kanavis)
    Terrence Crowder (teamed with Marshall)
    Jeffrey Hall
    Gerrad Kough
    Marques Mosley
    Davien Payne
    Christian Powell

    Kanavis McGee
    Donta Abron (with Bieniemy)
    Jeromy Irwin
    Sean Irwin
    De'Jon Wilson

This all according to rivals list. I think you can add Kisima Jagne to Kavavis' list. As well as partial credit for the DC3 and the Upland trio. I think it's safe to say Kanavis/Bieniemy are our go to recruiters. I'm very pleased with Kanavis, he looks like he will be a monster for us. Also, Cabral seems to have dropped off from the early Hawk years.

EB had some very nice things to say about Kanavis:
"He's got some bloodline ties to this university," Bieniemy said. "So it's not a sell to him. He's talking about the things he knows and believes in. He is going to be recognized here in the next few years as one of the outstanding recruiters in the country if you're asking my opinion."

Greg Brown is a terrible recruiter

Kennedy and Tui are good recruiters as well.

incomplete list, but good post. Kanavis was a big part of the DC3.

Yeah. He's just awful, isn't he? Methinks some apologies are in order.

Really like that 3 coach approach for every recruit the staff is employing.
Said Deehan: "I've got to say the biggest difference is Malcolm in the weight room. . . we're a lot stronger where we need to be. We're no longer just big, fat power-lifters."

Kudos to the staff. They far outrecruited our record. Now if they coach the team to play beyond expectations, recruiting will perpetuate itself.

I am happy to see things turn around in terms of recruiting defensive backs. But am not yet ready to appologies to Greg Brown. Lets see how things go in the next couple of years, if there is substained success, and improved defense. One good year doesn't make up for many years of bad recruiting by Greg Brown.

I think Clay Norgard should be attributed to Erik Norgard.
