When Colorado football players returned to campus last month from four weeks of holiday vacation, strength and conditioning coach Malcolm Blacken wasted no time bringing them up to speed on the program's new two-word mantra that he expects will motivate them for the next year of their lives.

Blacken sounds like a badass. I feel really fortunate to have him around.
Do college teams ever workout or practice alongside the nearby pro teams? Even for just a day or two? I feel like that would offer a ton of wisdom and perspective on trying to become an elite.

The S&C coach is the HC in the off-season. I like that he's talking about long term goals. Pitt was a non-starter. Blacken is leading.

Buffalo are huge. And then the other thing I've always gotten a kick out of: When you play Colorado, there's those buffalo dragging those six handler around. Those handlers aren't dragging the buffalo. The buffalo's dragging him.
