Could our Women's Golf team be a national title contender?

Heading into this week's tournament in Hawaii, they were ranked as high as #11 nationally (following a dominating performance in their last tourney).

Well, they won again. This time against a field that included #13 Tennessee and #15 Cal.

I think CU's hosting the NCAA Regional this year. Drinking beers and cheering on our team at Colorado National doesn't sound like a bad way at all to spend a day.

Only when he's not standing behind the tee box in a rainbow wig, holding up a John 3:16 sign and yelling "You da man!" after ever tee shot.

    They played Kapalua.

To give you an idea of how incredibly awesome that is, here's a picture:

Standard rates for a round of golf at the Kapalua Bay course are $208, which does not include cart rental. THIS is the benefit of a golf scholarship at CU.

They just got an all-expense paid trip to Maui and 3 rounds of golf at one of the most amazing golf courses on the face of the Earth. The rest of the stuff is nice, sure, but that trip is awesome.

How is Colorado National these days? I played it once way back when it was still Vista Ridge.

Looks like they're looking for volunteers for the West Regional. http://www.cubuffs.com/quest/Questio...bml?QID=128313

I can think of worse ways to spend a weekend, and I'd go if i were nearby.
