Nik, what do you think about Sharpe? Any chance he and the staff have an agreement that he'll leave as a GT after this year? I understand him staying, as there was no benefit to him to transfer and sit out this year, but next year may be a different story.
I think that would make a lot of sense for him. Especially with consideration to the fact that Dre is his closest friend on the team and Dre is likely to leave after next season.
Very close with Ben...said he's likely leaving this year. Gives us one extra one?

If Mills' scholarship opens up, that would allow us to sign someone in the early period this fall. Heck, it would allow us to find a graduate transfer to help us this coming season and sign someone in the fall.
Without that, a fall signee would be a risk since so many things could happen. What if Dre didn't go pro for some reason and Sharpe also came back for 2013-14? If so, we'd have a guy signed to a LOI and no room for him.
P.S. Ben seems like a great guy and I know he's popular. Heard he's got a great sense of humor and is fun to be around. As a player, he's definitely more skilled than most guys his size. I think his struggle so far at this level of competition is mostly due to lower body strength and getting pushed off the block.
Hmmm. Makes me think if Ben if making a push for a transfer to an ivy or something if he can show the grades.

I agree..I met Ben last year and spent a lot of time with him. You can see how excited EVERYONE gets when they see him and he soaks it up. Obviously when he first came here the goal was to add weight and strength and while he has gained some..it's still no where near where it was expected. With the talent coming in, it only seems like it's going to get worse.
Pri has those connects at Fordham. Also, Greg Graham (the HC who recruited Mills to Boise State) is now an assistant at Bradley. I'd see those as two possibilities for Mills.
Actually asked him about Bradley and he said probably no. Said something about visiting Loyola - Chicago and Idaho. There were others, but I don't remember them.
No offense to your friend, but this will be good for both parties. I think we're set on taking either a SG or a PF/C this cycle

RJR- Adams, Sharpe, Tunks next fall. There should be 2-3 scholarships available for 2013.
