Faatagi would have likely been a 2-year starter for the Buffs if his career had gone as planned. A knee problem was discovered after he arrived, leading to a surgery that forced him to redshirt in 2006. He was then academically ineligible in 2007 and 2008, after which his 5-year window of eligibility had expired.
