Major was already 2nd on the depth chart a week into the 2008 fall camp when he tore an ACL. Following surgery, he redshirted the 2008 season and was unable to participate fully in spring 2009 practices. By fall camp he was close to 100% and ended up playing in 6 games as a redshirt freshman, recording 13 tackles. With 2 seniors (Smart & Mohler) graduating from Major's "Will" linebacker position and with him now fully healthy, Major enters spring 2010 practices atop the depth chart. He is expected to start for the Buffs in 2010.
