SPWildcat(Rivals.com) found this guy. He's Aaron Rodgers little brother. Full qualifier.

Butte airs on the side of domination

EUREKA — For your average quarterback, 200 yards in passing and five touchdowns would qualify as an outstanding game.

But Butte quarterback Jordan Rodgers is anything but average.

Those numbers were indicative of the terrific first half Rodgers had against the struggling College of the Redwoods football team, which the unbeaten Roadrunners pummeled to the tune of 55-14 Saturday on the road at Community Stadium.

What sent him down the JUCO route in the first place? Grades or skills?

It would be nice to have a JUCO come in with Hirschman next year to really create some instant competition at the QB position.

His size. He was 5-11 out of HS. Now he's 6-2.

I don't care how small he is, I bet he can throw the ball better than our 5'11 QB. I'm basing this opinion purely on bloodlines.

Even 5'11 would be an upgrade if he's actually 5'11, because Cody is more like 5'8.

I was just thinking about this... We need to hit the JUCO recruiting trail, including QB.

No, because we'll never get that many past admissions.

Maybe he'll be better at carrying the clipboard around than the rest because nobody else plays starting QB as long as the Hawkins are in town.

    New Rivals article on Rogers.

"I am actually taking an official visit to Washington State this weekend," Rodgers explained. "And then I know Kansas, Colorado and Mississippi State have been in contact with our coaching staff."

So since he's a full qualifier out of HS, does he have to jump through hoops to get into CU?

Re: '10 JUCO QB Jordan Rodgers

He'll still need to get admitted and show that he has successfully completed enough courses (with a "C" of better so they transfer to CU) to have progressed as much as the NCAA requires toward a degree. So the degree program he chose at CU would also have an impact. I don't think the full qualifier out of high school thing matters unless you transfer from a JUCO after your 1st year (before the NCAA would require a major to be declared).

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: '10 JUCO QB Jordan Rodgers

Well, and I could be completely wrong, I thought to get admitted to CU you needed to have earned your AA if you weren't a full qualifier out of High School. Since he was a full qualifier however, so long as he has been taking 4+ classes every semester/quarter, he could transfer in without having to take 19 credits over summer which I presume was work people have had to do to catch up on classes or earn their AA.

Oh, yeah. Admissions will definitely be easier. Pretty sure he does need to get through the NCAA Clearinghouse as someone that is 1.5 years into college, though. He'll need to have progressed toward a degree or he'd be ineligible next season.

Re: '10 JUCO QB Jordan Rodgers

Rodgers looks like he's still a strong Kansas lean despite the likely coaching change. Mississippi State, Washington State and Virginia round out his top 4.

With the development of Hansen, the successful recruitment of 3 potential QBs (Hirschman, Legaux and Spond), and Moten gaining admittance to CU, I don't believe that we're even recruiting him hard and maybe not at all any more.

Probably a good call on his part for Kansas, what do they even have next year without Reesing? Washington State is a mess, but they do have a decent true freshman QB, no idea what MSU or Virginia has coming back at QB.
