Re: '10 LA ATH Jonathan McKnight

Looks to be an Alabama lean right now.

Older brother is Joe McKnight, the USC star.

Curtis' Jonathan McKnight says comparisons to brother don't bother him

The ball floated into the night sky and John Curtis football coach J.T. Curtis watched it settle into No. 4's hands.

He took a couple of half steps, righted himself and took off to his right on the punt return.

Somewhere downfield he made a slicing cut, a step and the football equivalent of a cross-over dribble, and took it across the field, out-racing the opposition like they were tackling dummies.

"I stood there on the sideline, and it looked exactly like Joe," Curtis said. "It flashed in my mind and I even said to myself, 'What a great move, Joe.' Then I realized it was Jonathan."

The Joe is Joe McKnight.

The Jonathan is his younger brother (by two years).

“I’ve been going to the Alabama camp the last three years,” Jonathan McKnight said. “So I’ve got real good chemistry with the coaches there. We’ve built a pretty good relationship already. I really like coach Nick Saban and feel like I could learn a lot from him. They are just real honest with me." The Tide were McKnight’s first offer when he was a sophomore and are recruiting him the hardest.

Probably a safe bet that USC is going to stay away after the issue with his older brother.
